The Viking was born just before summer solstice in the year 1975. The early years the Viking was a bit of a rascal but first and foremost he enjoyed playing outside with his childhood friends which are still to this day his best friends.

Early years

In 1997 it all started with one book about HTML and Notepad and the I was off creating web pages and the coolest things to do was creating animated gifs, oooohhh yes ANIMATED GIFS. After playing around with web site creation and multimedia design I signed up to learn how to use Macromedia Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Shock-wave, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D Studio Max and other tools.

After finishing the multimedia training I started to work full time on web development and multimedia content creation. Big part of the job was teaching others to use these tools.

The path to Dynamics 365

In 2001 i signed up for three years of BSc in computer science at the Reykjavík University and graduated in 2004. Before graduation I had signed up with a new and small company in Iceland that was working with an ERP system called Axapta and the company was Annata.

The ERP world was new to me at this time and for a former multimedia designer the look and feel of Axapta and the Enterprise Portal felt quite dull to tell you the truth. But I stuck with it and now in the year 2019 I have worked on all major versions from Axapta 2.5 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations  version 10 platform update 28.

Current role

Today I am working as a Senior Technical Architect at PowerObjects and I am engaged in enterprise level projects across the United Kingdom.
